wass good ar.........i been sampling for a few months now.........finally got the courage to post something and see what you guys think about it. im not new to the mixing game at all.....but as far as using fl studio and sequencers of that sort im fairly new on the field.....a little info about this beat.......i sampled a 70s group called "illusion".........i do have crates and yes this was acutally sampled from vinyl....i didnt bother to remove the crackling or hiss from the sample..........i hope it adds to the beat rather then the opposite.......id like to know from other producers as well as ar members what you think as far as mixing quality goes........ITS OK TO BE HARSH OR JUDGEMENTAL!!!!!!

check my soundclick link in my sig........the beat is called "ALWAYS BE"

Shit's sounding damn nice so far, I'm sure it'll only get better when you add the finishing touches.

What's good, fam? In my opinion, I've always found the crackling sound to be pleasing. You might not know this, but I've also produced plenty of beats with FL Studio and Reason. I stopped after my computer crashed. Thinking of re-installing everything soon... For now, it's all about microphones, preamps, and interfaces, lol.

This was pretty dope though.. Especially if you are fairly new at this field, it still came out fine. Your overall levels were nicely balanced. Only thing I would suggest is a bassline... Maybe bring out the low end of the sample.. Everything else seemed good! Job well done. Have fun with the new gear!

Interesting intro. Didn't know where it was going. I don't dig the vocal on this too much. Maybe a bassline like Spitz B mentioned. It would really bring another layer to the beat.

Very nice levels on everything. I've got to learn how to master things like that! I'm really digging the vibe of the track overall.
