According to Taiwanese site UDN, Sony have signed production contracts with two companies to begin manufacture of the rumoured PS3 "Slim", with a delivery date of...oh, next month!
Now, with a PS3 price cut heavily expected around August, and with stocks of the existing 80GB PS3 supposedly dwindling, a July delivery date for the "new" PS3 makes sense. Ship it out in July, have it ready to sell in stores for August.
That is, if it's real. Which, remember, it may not be!
both pics look so fake though, but u never know. they say ships out in july, we shall see. it would be dope to get a slim ps3, the current one is pretty bulky.

Yea lol, funny how it was..
"Xbox is heavy while PS2 is more lighter!" Then they switched it up. Now 360 is at a manageable size while the PS3 is a huge dust attraction.
Unless they really upgrade the backwards compatibility emulation from the 20/60 GB PS3's, I don't think the slim would be worth it. Slim = less USB ports? I'd need at least 4 ;<
Not sure about overheating problems, my 60GB model (soon to upgrade to 500GB) has been working fine.
i got ps3 couple days after it came out, it was sold out everywhere, Got it shipped it from LA, for around $800. Now theres a slim one for $300...... fuck sony...
